Add New Company

Adding your company in kolum helps you keep your organizational data clear and structured. Each company you add represents a legal entity within your organization, allowing you to link production facilities, articles, and supplier relationships accurately for clear tracking and reporting.

Why Adding Companies Matters

Adding your company in kolum allows you to:

  • Structure your workspace to match your real organizational setup.

  • Connect facilities and articles to the correct company for clear tracking.

  • Maintain organized records that support emissions and supply chain data management.

  • Prepare your workspace for accurate reporting.

How to Add a New Company

To add a company in kolum:

  1. Navigate to Companies Go to My Organization → Companies and click “Add New” in the top right corner.

  2. Enter Company Details

    Fill in the required fields:

    • Name: The company’s legal name as it should appear in your records and reports.

    • EORI Number (optional): For EU-based companies, adding the EORI number is mandatory for reporting purposes. The Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number is required for customs and reporting workflows within the EU and ensures your company can submit import-related data and reports correctly. If your company is not based in the EU, you can leave this field empty.

  3. Add Address Details You can include:

    • Street name and number (optional)

    • PO Box (optional)

    • City and postal code

    • Country

While optional, adding address details helps keep your company records clear, especially if managing multiple locations.

  4. Connect Suppliers (optional) If you already have suppliers added in kolum, you can link them to the company to reflect your supplier relationships accurately.

  5. Create the Company Once you have entered the information, click “Create Company.” The company will now appear in your list and is ready for you to link production facilities and articles as needed.

Tips for Staying Organized

  • Use consistent naming for companies to keep your workspace easy to navigate.

  • Add address details if you plan to manage multiple entities across regions.

  • Connect suppliers during setup if you already know which suppliers belong to this company.
