Suppliers Production Facility
You can add a supplier production facility directly within kolum to track emissions data, manage linked production sites, and ensure accurate reporting for supplier-related activities. You can only add a supplier’s production facility after you have created the supplier, by navigating into the supplier’s detail page and clicking Add New Production Facility.
Keeping supplier production facility details accurate ensures correct supplier classification (Trader vs Manufacturer) and smooth emissions data collection.

How to Add a Supplier Production Facility
Navigate to Suppliers from the sidebar and select the supplier for which you want to add a facility.
Click Add New Production Facility on the supplier’s detail page.
Fill in the required fields:
Name (mandatory)
Identifier (optional; if left empty, kolum will generate one automatically)
Use Company Address:
If selected, you do not need to fill in address fields.
If not selected, provide:
Street name and number (optional)
Post office box (optional)
Postal code, city, and country (mandatory if using a separate facility address)
UN/LOCODE (optional)
Latitude and longitude (optional)
Review all details to ensure the facility name is accurate, the address is correct (if manually entered), and the supplier identifier is correct.
Click Create Production Facility to save.

After Adding a Supplier Production Facility
The facility will appear under the Production Facilities section on the supplier details page.
The facility can then be linked to articles and emission data as part of your ongoing reporting workflow.
You can continue adding additional facilities or editing existing ones as your supplier’s operations evolve.
