Managing your buyers in kolum helps you stay organized while supporting your customers with accurate emissions data. As a supplier, this page in kolum is your central place to view and manage all the EU buyers you work with, see which products are linked to each buyer, and provide emissions data efficiently.

You keep full control over your data while giving your customers the transparency they need for compliance and reporting. Managing buyers in kolum helps you move away from scattered emails and spreadsheets and into a clear, structured workflow.

Before You Start

  • Ensure your kolum account is set up and verified.

  • Confirm you have received invitations from your EU buyers in kolum.

Where to Find This

After logging in:

  1. Go to Buyers under Supply Chain on the left sidebar.

  2. Here, you will see a list of your buyers, including:

    • Identifier (unique buyer code)

    • Buyer name

    • City and country

    • Status (linked or pending)

What You Can Do on This Page

View All Buyers: See all EU buyers you supply to and who have connected with you on kolum.

Check Linked Articles: Click on a buyer to see all the articles they have linked to your company, for which they are requesting emissions data.

Provide Emission Data: Directly from this section, you can begin providing emissions data for each linked article using:

  • Direct entry if you already have emissions data ready.

  • kolum’s built-in calculator if you need to calculate emissions using your operational data.

  • If you are a trader working with suppliers, you can request emissions data from your own suppliers while keeping your supplier network confidential.

Bulk Upload Buyers: If you have many buyers, you can upload them in bulk to save time and maintain a clean workflow. (See the Bulk Uploading Buyers guide for detailed steps.)

Workflow Overview

  1. Log in to kolum and go to Buyers.

  2. Review your list of buyers and identify the buyer you want to provide data for.

  3. Click the buyer’s name to see all linked articles.

  4. Next to each article, click Provide Emission Data.

  5. Choose your preferred method (direct entry or calculate using kolum) and complete the steps to submit data.

Once you provide emissions data, your buyers will automatically be notified and can review and accept the data you have submitted, reducing delays and email exchanges.

Tips for Managing Buyers Effectively

  • Keep your buyer list clean and organized by archiving buyers you no longer actively supply.

  • Regularly review linked articles to ensure emissions data is provided on time.
