Delete an Article

Deleting articles in kolum helps you keep your workspace organised and aligned with your current operations. As your sourcing or production processes change, you may have articles that are no longer needed for tracking, are duplicates, or were added by mistake. Removing these articles ensures your list remains clean, prevents confusion for your team, and avoids linking outdated articles to suppliers or production facilities. Keeping your article list up to date is an important step in maintaining clear and reliable workflows within kolum.

How to Delete an Article

  1. Go to Articles from the sidebar.

  2. Locate the article you wish to delete from your list.

  3. Click on the article name to open its details page.

  4. Click the Edit button in the top-right corner to enter edit mode.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Delete Article section.

  6. Click Delete Article.

  7. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up modal to permanently remove the article.

Important to Note

  • Deleting an article will permanently remove it from your kolum workspace and it will no longer appear in your Articles list.

  • Any linked suppliers or production facilities associated with the article will be disconnected and will no longer see the article on their side.

  • Deleting an article will not affect historical emissions data or previously submitted import records linked to that article; those records will remain in your system for reference and reporting.

  • Ensure the article is no longer required in your workflows before deletion to avoid unintended data gaps.

After Deletion

  • The article will be removed from your Articles list immediately.

  • Suppliers linked to the article will no longer see it in their kolum interface.

  • If you need to track this article again in the future, you will need to add it as a new article and reconnect suppliers and facilities.
