Delete An Import

In some cases, you may need to permanently remove an import record—such as if it was created by mistake, duplicated, or is no longer relevant for your reporting.

kolum allows you to delete an import easily while ensuring you understand the consequences of this action.

When Should You Delete an Import?

Delete an import if:

  • The record was created by mistake or duplicated.

  • It is irrelevant for your CBAM reporting.

  • You want to maintain a clean dataset for emissions tracking and compliance.

Note: Deleting an import will permanently remove it from your kolum environment. This action cannot be undone, and all associated emissions data for this import will also be removed.

How to Delete an Import

  1. Navigate to Imports in the sidebar.

  2. Locate and click the import you wish to remove to open its detail view.

  3. Click Edit in the top right corner to enter editing mode.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Import page.

  5. Click the red Delete Import button.

  6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Once confirmed, the import will be permanently deleted from kolum, and it will no longer appear in your imports table or contribute to your emissions calculations.

What Happens After Deletion?

  • The import will be removed from the Imports table.

  • Emissions data associated with the import will no longer be reflected in your carbon cost analytics or CBAM reporting.

  • Other related data in your workspace (e.g., suppliers, articles, companies) will remain intact, ensuring that only the import entry is deleted.

Keep Your Records Clean

Maintaining accurate imports data helps you:

  • Ensure correct CBAM reporting.

  • Avoid confusion caused by duplicate or incorrect entries.

  • Maintain a clean, auditable dataset for compliance.

If you are unsure whether to delete an import, consider archiving your decision internally or contacting your compliance lead before proceeding.
