Get Emission Data From A Trader

Traders often act as intermediaries in your supply chain, purchasing goods from their own suppliers and selling them to you. With kolum, you can efficiently gather emissions data for these purchased articles by working directly with your traders while ensuring the data remains complete and linked to your articles.

When you invite a trader and link them to an article in kolum, they can collect and provide the required emissions data on your behalf. Traders can either enter the emissions data themselves or invite their own suppliers to enter the data directly into kolum. This creates a seamless and structured workflow, allowing emissions data to be collected from the upstream suppliers while being reflected automatically in your linked article.

This approach is ideal when you work with traders who manage multiple suppliers, helping you maintain accurate emissions data without disrupting your existing purchasing workflows.

Workflow Overview

1. Add and Invite the Trader as a Supplier

   • Go to the Suppliers section and add your trader as a supplier within kolum.

   • Send an invitation so the trader can access their supplier account on kolum.

2. Link the Trader to Your Import

   • Navigate to import and either create a new import or edit an existing one.

   Once linked, the CN code will appear in the trader’s sub page, allowing you to manage and provide emissions data for the goods they supply to you.

3. Trader Collects Emissions Data The trader has two flexible options to provide emissions data:

   • Enter Data Manually: If the trader already has the emissions data for the goods, they can enter direct and indirect emissions data directly in kolum.

   • Invite Their Suppliers to Provide Data: The trader can add and invite their own suppliers to kolum, and these suppliers can then enter emissions data for the purchased goods directly into kolum.

4. Data Flows Directly to Trader's subpage Once the trader or their suppliers enter the emissions data, it will automatically update in your linked CN code within kolum. This ensures that your emissions tracking remains organized and up to date while maintaining supplier accountability across your supply chain.
